Not only is the Bacchus statue and fountain part of Remich’s esplanade, but a special celebration is dedicated to the Roman god of wine.
The Bacchus celebration, called ‘Bacchusfescht’, which takes place on Assumption day in August is a large flea market with over 250 stands spanning from the esplanade to the Dr. F. Kons Square.
