Construction site Cité Buschland | Traffic information

Information regarding the temporary traffic lights near the intersection Rue de la Cité / Rue Maatebierg / Rue Dicks

Due to the construction works of the new retention basin, it was not possible to maintain the sidewalk. In the meantime vehicles and pedestrians have to share the road, which required the installation of a classic traffic light system to ensure safety.

Vehicles & bikes

Traffic is regulated by traffic lights equipped with a system that detects the presence of a vehicle in both directions. This enables a better flow of traffic. Yellow lines along the road indicate the stopping and/or waiting zones.

Pedestrians

Pedestrian passage through the construction site area is regulated by a two-color traffic light system. The pedestrian must stop in front of the traffic light, press the button and wait until the pedestrian light turns green. There is enough time for the pedestrians to safely cross the construction zone.

Please follow the various traffic signs along the construction site and use the crosswalks to get to the other side of the street.

The pedestrian walkway between house numbers 12 and 22, rue de la Cité is closed to all pedestrian traffic. Please use the sidewalk on the opposite side of the street to reach the push button for the pedestrian lights when walking down.
