Change in the degree of potable water hardness
Since the end of September 2024, the city of Remich is no longer supplied with mixed water, but exclusively with SEBES water. This reduces the hardness level from 25°f (°f = French degree of hardness) to around 12°f. Normally, this water no longer requires any specific softening treatment.
However, if you do have an in-house treatment system for descaling, this should only be adjusted after consultation with your installation consultant.

Clever use of rainwater
Using rainwater not only helps to save valuable drinking water, but also reduces the burden on wastewater systems, for example. Cleverly used, rainwater can be used to water the garden, flush the toilet, wash cars and for other outdoor areas, which is good for the environment and saves money. The Ëmweltberodung Lëtzebuerg (EBL) has created an infographic on this topic: EBL Infografik_Rainwater
